I completely forgot about this Substack — so much has happened over the past year. I’m going to put everything into very concise points to catch us all up:
Scaled antifragility.io to six-figures ARR and got acquired by Clover Labs.
Post-acquisition I joined Clover as a product manager — this was my first time leading a team which was dope. I got to lead engineering and design on the GEO product RedRover and build it from 0 to 1. We scaled to 150+ clients and hit $800K MRR which was insane growth to be a part of. The team there was awesome and I made great friends + learnt a LOT.
Interned at Wealthsimple across software engineering and product. In product I was an associate product manager on the self-directed-investing team where I worked under employee #9 (who btw, is an awesome guy), where I got to work across our margin product. On engineering I joined the platform team where I contributed to our Monthly Millionaire campaign experience on our mobile app and on web.
Tried building an agentic trading product [trybull.ai] — had some cool traction/things going for us but ultimately sunset because me and Nitya wanted to go to school (shocking, right?).
If I had to oversimplify the crap out of the past year that’s how I’d put it.
I’m putting this note out there because I don’t want to lose my ambition while I’m in school and I need a new form of holding myself accountable. I’ve still got some momentum going from my gap year, but I can feel myself slowing down which is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
What this inconsistent newsletter will turn into is a weekly shitpost covering:
My goals for the month
My goals for the week
What I accomplished for the week
My goals for the upcoming week
It’ll be extremely rough around the edges and short — but that’s a good thing because we don’t have all the time in the world to see what I’m doing haha.
I’ll leave it at this for now — of course, I’m always free to chat :: noah@barbaros.ca
If you read this outdated Substack I appreciate your time — it always means the world to me.
See you next week!
